What Impacts Custom Furniture Pricing?

Across all collections, a few key factors consistently influence cost:

1. Size

Larger tables require more material and labor—especially at lengths over 8 feet.

2. Wood Type

Different species vary significantly in cost and availability.

Generally, our most common woods fit into three tiers...

  • Foundational Woods (Lower Cost)– Maple, Red Oak, Cherry
  • Character Woods (Mid Cost) – Ambrosia Maple, Mahogany, Hickory
  • Signature Woods (Higher Cost)– White Oak, Walnut, Spalted Maple

3. Design Complexity

Simple leg designs are more efficient to build.
Custom bases, joinery, or unique shapes increase labor time.

4. Customization

The more a piece deviates from a standard design, the more time it takes to build.

Our Finishes: Built for Real Life

A table should be lived on—not protected from life.

That’s why we use professional-grade, non-toxic finishes designed for durability and ease of maintenance.

What that means for you:

  • Spills wipe clean with a damp cloth
  • Resistant to water rings and daily wear
  • Safe for homes with kids and pets

We have three different finish options, each with their own strengths.

  1. LFC Classic Finish (Lowest Cost) - Our classic finish offers a protective topcoat with a low sheen that can stand up to normal wear.
  2.  LFC Performance Finish (Middle Cost) - Our performance finish is technically a restaurant grade finish, but with a low sheen and a soft feel. It is designed to stand up to increased wear from kids and/or lack of regular care.
  3. LFC Hand Rubbed Finish (Higher Cost) - An oil/wax finish that is hand rubbed for a classical craftsman look and feel. The finish is absorbed into the pores and cured for a more natural feel. This finish requires more care but is very easy to touch up and repair if necessary.
