Our Story - Luke's Furniture Company

Luke's Furniture Company

Our Story

My childhood was spent around woodworking, helping my father and grandfather with general carpentry work. I didn’t begin building furniture until I bought my house and started furnishing it with my own creations. It was then that the experiences of watching and learning from my father and grandfather came flooding back—and with it, a passion for crafting.

The birth of Luke’s Furniture Company was prompted by the birth of my daughter. She was born four months premature, which led to my wife not returning to work. So, I started building for customers out of my garage to help make ends meet. After a couple of years of building during nap time and post-bedtime, I was able to move into a larger space and start fulfilling orders full time. Three years later, I moved into my current space with a design studio and showroom.

We design furniture not just to be the centerpiece of your room but to be the centerpiece of your life. From small family dinners to large friendly gatherings to productive days in the home office and everything in between, our handcrafted custom furniture and décor enhance the look, feel, and functionality of each day. Whether you need something to fit an existing design or are looking to build a design around a custom furniture piece, we can help. Our showroom and studio are located in Wilmington, but we can ship nationwide and collaborate virtually for those who can’t make it in person.
